PURCHASING POLICY
Ken Taylor Supplies Limited place alot of importance on supplier service, if the service we receive
from our suppliers is of poor standard it is impossible for us to offer a first class service to our customers.
All purchase orders are placed with suppliers that are on our Preferred Supplier List. All
new suppliers must complete three consecutive deliveries to our satisfaction before being added to the approved supplier list.
Suppliers are graded based on the following:
QUALITY - Preferrence will be given to suppliers who can demonstrate
thier commitment to quality, ideally they will be registered to ISO. 9001:2000 standard.
LOCATION - From experience, we believe that local suppliers will be able
to offer us a more flexable approach when it comes to deliveries. All new suppliers will have to demonstrate how they
plan to despatch goods/services to us in a satisfactory mannor.
ENVIRONMENT - Preferrence will be given to suppliers who can demonstate
thier commitment to the environment. A policy must be in place to minimise the company's adverse effects on the environment.
RATES & TERMS - It is essential that Ken Taylor Supplies Limited
can compete on a level ground with its competitors. Preference will be given to suppliers who can hold prices for agreed
preiods, offer discounts for quantity, regular special offers - exclusive to KTS, and have a settlement discount/rebate structure.
